Oh boy – organizing yarn and fiber. My biggest knitting and spinning problem is keeping things organized and locating the wool I want. So, I turned a closet into my stash room. I put two small chests stacked on top of each other on one side. These hold needles and other miscellaneous knitting items. There is a desk filling the rest of the floor space. There are baskets underneath that have smaller bumps of spinning fibers and a couple of project bags with in-progress items. On top of the desk stacks of open shelves with clear plastic boxes that hold yarn. I can see them pretty clearly and they are easy to take out and rearrange. The front of the desk is perfect for a pattern book or two (or five or twenty), a couple of small project bags – socks and scarves. And between the desk and teh two small chests are a couple of larger bags with whole fleeces.
Have fun with your organizing project Deborah!
