    No matter how much you are tempted, never, no never, pick up someone else’s knitting project and knit a line or two.

    Never tell another knitter (unless you know them really well) that their project would have looked better in a different color.

    @Lori

    Haha… sounds like there’s a story behind that one…

    -All gift yarn is appreciated, even red heart. Just don’t tell the person who gave it to you if you use it as stuffing.
    -When receiving a knitted gift, remember to thank the knitter and wear/use/appreciate the item within sight of the knitter.
    -Never pass negative judgment on another persons knitting unless they ask

    Love your podcast and enjoyed the book excerpt. Let us know when you get it published.
    As for knitted gift from a friend be honest, all other gifts lie and say how much you love it. It has worked for me so far.

    what a great episode! You two are so delightful! How cool to hear SavvyDad. :) He did a great job and the ending is heart-warming. :) Happy Birthday to your Mom! I love the new logo, especially the gerbils and you both are cute as a button. Thanks for the pattern, Deborah. It’s very lovely and i’m looking forward to knitting it. I really enjoyed your singing, Melanie. You have such a versatile voice. You can sing all genres so beautifully and easily! I had to laugh out loud at the gerbils. You guys are so funny! Thanks for a great year and looking forward to all your wonderfulness in the next. xo! p.s. it warmed my heart to know that you all were together – we have two daughters (25 and 21) and i always look forward to the times when we’re all together. ♥

    Never pullout another knitter’s work because you noticed an error and think you’re helping by correcting it for them.

    Etiquette: never tell a knitter (crocheter, spinner, etc) that they are doing it wrong. instead, if you feel bold enough, kindly suggest an alternative approach. Afterall, it’s just knitting, two (or more) sticks and some yarn. How wrong can you be if you’re having fun?
