A few comments, other than I love your podcast always and wish that you did it daily. I know, you have a life but it helps me with mine while walking or doing the mundane things around the house….yes, the person in Downton Abbey is indeed Maggie Smith, famed British actress but I’m sure that savvy mom already pointed that out to you. The pronunciation of Cowichan sweaters is Cow ( as in the animal) “i” as in “it”, chun with the emphasis on “cow”. You are good Canadian girls, close to BC so, just helping you out here.

Ooops, me again. I knew there was something else I wanted to say. I was recently on a trip to Iceland and the sheer delight of walking around Reykjavik, seeing so many people wearing gorgeous Icelandic sweaters was inspiring. Yes, I had to buy one:) you talked about the yarn mill/store. On our day tour of the Golden Circle, our first stop was the Alafloss Lopi factory outlet store. I thought I was going to faint since this stop was totally unexpected. Lots of yarn and rovings for knitting as well as gifts and tons of sweaters to buy. I noticed a group of ladies,very driven to buy yarn and Lopi rovings. Turns out they were from the US on an Icelandic knitting tour. The baskets they filled with yarn……..oh my. And I’m sure they had many stops to go

If I hadn’t been riding in a car on a long ride from Seattle, I would have been up and dancing to the Knitting All the Day! Melanie . . . you are so lovely, your voice is beautiful! I think the third song, Mother’s Sitting Knitting Little Mittens . . . . oh my goodness. All that alliteration and you sung it beautifully! I am the one who will play that over and over and over until I can do it along with you! Very catchy! I Loved so many of the songs and enjoyed hearing Savvy Mum’s voice!!! It’s wonderful! Thank you for doing this for the world! It’s a treasure!!
