Wow! That was a rant if I ever heard one. I’ve got to say Melanie, you let a lot of things get to you that don’t matter. Yes, there are religious Christmas stamps and they do add something to the Christmas card. I personally don’t like to choose a very nice card with beautiful art work, embossing or whatever else might make a card pleasing to receive and then put a dippy little snowman stamp on the very elegant envelope. And I do disagree, there are religious Hanuakkah stamps, or there have been in the past. Who cares, it makes them happy. Besides, I say, kudos to anyone who takes the bother to send Christmas cards these days. I really don’t care if I get a digital “Christmas” card. You can’t touch it. There’s no ink signature. And though it may not be great art a nice card has an appeal to the eye that a digital image will never have.

Oh, did I just rant, too? I do agree with you, no one should ask you how much you make? It’s just rude. But in some cultures they just cant resist. In Asia, it seems to be compulsory to ask the price of everything and then when you tell them, they delight in telling the foreigner “You got ripped off,” which is not actually the case most of the time.

Adele, well I have to admit you are right.
